A Smattering of Color

I went looking for some color yesterday, feeling the fatigue of the neutrality in the wintery outdoors, and I found some. I was just goofing around shooting the nail polish on the kitchen counter and really liked how the yellow wall and shallow DOF of the counter's edge turned out. Sometimes I just like to be a little abstract. :)

That made me go "oo". For some reason I particularly like the speck of nail varnish on the lid.

I'm enjoying all of your pictures - you both have a good eye for wonderful shots. I love your winter photos - the horses, the snow - everything. Beautiful photography!

Beautiful composition. I love the yellow with the red, the diagonal of the the counter, the dab of red on the bottle - gorgeous.

I love how the diagonal line blurs as it goes off into the distance. Nice.

Lighting is perfect!

Of course I love the colors. All about the colors. Smudge balanced by light in the base of the nail polish makes the shot.

The light is perfect. You are so right about the color and the focus. Good eye!
